Exporting Review data
To export review data, navigate to the 'Reviews' module. As an employee, you can download all feedback received by navigating to 'Reviews' > 'All reviews' > expand the list of all review cycles you were included in and can export them by clicking on 'Export'.
As an Admin, you can open the cycle that you want to export. You can download an Excel sheet with all qualitative and quantitative answers for each participant via the 'Three dots' menu > 'Export answers' and download an Excel sheet with all average scores for all participants via 'Export scores & status'.
Each export file will contain columns with data, such as: questions, question ID, user ID, user name, email, and the names of teams they belong to, organized by their role in the review cycle: Reviewee, Peer, Manager, Additional Manager, Direct Report and also organized by scores and comments received or any averages if applicable.
When exporting review data, you can customize which employee attributes are included in your export file. You will see an option to select specific user attributes from your available employee data fields, including both standard attributes (such as name, email, teams) and any custom attributes you have configured in 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Sections & Attributes'. You can select up to 30 user attributes to be included in your export to ensure you are able to include relevant user data in a concise export. When you confirm, you will receive an email with a download link once they are ready.
To extract and match the corresponding name and question data in the export files, we recommend using the VLOOKUP function in Excel for additional analysis.
Please note: In the export, the status ‘Not Started’ will be displayed as 'Incomplete'.
To bulk download PDF reports as an Admin, simply navigate to 'Reviews' > 'Cycles' > select the desired cycle > 'Export review PDFs'. When you confirm, you will receive an email with a download link once they are ready.
You can also download individual PDF reports. Navigate to the results overview for a person via the participants' list in the view dashboard. Download the report via 'Actions' > 'Download PDF' tab.
The 'Analytics' section for the 'Reviews' module offers another way of exporting data. To access this data, navigate to 'Analytics' > 'Reviews'. Choose either the 'Heatmap', 'Distribution', 'Scatter Plot', 'Timeline', or 'Radar', view and click on 'Export to Excel' or 'Export chart' respectively.
All filters that you apply to the view in Leapsome also apply to the export.
You can export multiple-choice analytics across review cycles directly from the Analytics page (see instructions above). Alternatively, you can also export MCQ responses from individual cycles by navigating to 'Reviews' > 'Cycles' > select a specific cycle > 'Export Answers'. However, the Analytics export is recommended when you need to analyze MCQ data across multiple cycles. Here you can find further information.
Exporting Survey data
To export survey data, as an Admin/Survey owner, navigate to the Survey module. Open the survey that you want to export.
In the 'Overview' dashboard, the 'Three dots' menu will allow a PowerPoint export. More information on the PowerPoint export can be found here. In the remaining views: 'List', 'Heatmap', 'Participation', 'Comments' and 'Multiple Choice' click on 'Actions' > 'Export to Excel'.
All filters that you apply to the view in Leapsome also apply to the export.
Exporting Goal data
To export goal data as an Admin, navigate to the 'Goals' module. Choose a subset of goals that you want to export, e.g. all of your team goals by applying relevant filters - this way you can export the 'List' view by clicking on > 'Export'.
Goals marked as 'completely private' are able to be exported by the respective owners of the goals only.
All filters that you apply to the view in Leapsome also apply to the export.
You can also export the goal groupings analytics along with all the user-specific attributes, as well as export a list of all individuals and teams without goals. To do that, navigate to 'Analytics' > 'Groups' > 'Export'. In the pop-up window, configure your export via different options, and include the attribute you would like to see.
Exporting Meeting data
For the Meetings module, Admins can export meeting analytics raw data. Head to 'Analytics' > 'Meetings' > 'Export Raw Data'.
As an employee, you can also download the data of your meetings via clicking on your name in the top right corner of the platform > 'Personal Settings' > scroll down to the very bottom > 'Export meetings'.
Exporting Instant Feedback data
Admins and super-admins of Leapsome also have the option to export Instant Feedback received by employees in their organizations. They can find this feature by heading to 'Instant Feedback' > 'All Feedback' > 'Three dots menu' > 'Export'. The export will show exactly what the employee already sees in the platform; if any filters were applied during export, the export file will only reflect the filtered results - this only applies to data exported from the 'All feedback' tab. Filters do not apply for an export triggered in the 'Analytics' > 'Instant Feedback section.
The export file will include columns showing Feedback ID, dates, Receiver Name, ID, team and receiver’s manager email, Sender Name, ID, team and sender’s manager email, feedback description, visibility, and Linked Skills.
Exporting Learning path progress data
As an Admin, you can export progress analytics data of a learning path by navigating to 'Learning'. In 'Manage content' > 'Paths administration', open the desired learning path. Click on the three dots (⋯) > 'Export progress data'. If filters are applied, the export will be limited to the users who satisfy the applied filters.
You can also export data by navigating to 'Analytics' > 'Learning' > three dots (⋯) > 'Export to Excel'. This applies to all tabs: 'Users', 'Learning paths' and 'Live trainings'.
Exporting Compensation data
The compensation cycles module allows you to download your results as an Admin in order to evaluate them internally within your company. To download a cycle please navigate to the respective dashboard > click on 'Export cycle results'
In the export, you'll see all participants involved, proposal statuses, and the changes that've been made in the cycle. This includes salary, bonus, and equity updates.
Exporting Competency Framework
As an Admin you can export the competency framework by navigating to 'Company' > 'Competencies' > 'Three dots menu' > 'Import/Export'.
Exporting Employee data
As an Admin, In the 'Company' > 'Employees' list, you can export the current user database via the 'Export employees' button.
This can be helpful to filter your database for certain criteria or to check for missing information. It's also a great way to make bulk edits to your user base. After downloading the Excel sheet, add/change your user information and upload the resulting file back into Leapsome - changes/edits will automatically be applied to your users in Leapsome. (Please note that 'teams' will not be deleted via an Excel upload.) Read more about our user Excel import here.
