How do I connect VerifiedFirst to Leapsome?
You do not configure anything in Leapsome. Sign up with VerifiedFirst, install their browser extension, and open Leapsome. The extension overlays the platform, so you can order and manage background screening, including I-9 and E-Verify, without leaving Leapsome.
What is the VerifiedFirst integration?
Leapsome partners with VerifiedFirst, a background screening provider, to cover US hiring compliance steps such as background checks and employment eligibility verification. The connection is browser based: once you install the VerifiedFirst extension, it overlays Leapsome, so you can order, review, and manage screenings while working in your Leapsome account. Verified candidate information then carries into onboarding, so records stay accurate from day one.
Please note that VerifiedFirst is a separate provider. You sign a contract with them directly, and questions about screenings go to VerifiedFirst support.
How do I set up the integration?
The setup happens with VerifiedFirst, not in Leapsome settings. Detailed information is available on the VerifiedFirst partner page for Leapsome.
1. Sign up with VerifiedFirst
VerifiedFirst is a separate contract. If you are a potential client, request a consultation through their partner page. If you are already a VerifiedFirst client, contact their team to activate the Leapsome integration for your account.
2. Install the VF Connector browser extension
Download the VF Connector in your preferred web browser. No development work is required.
3. Start screening in Leapsome
Open Leapsome and log in as an admin. With the extension installed, VerifiedFirst appears as an overlay when you work with new hires, for example in pre-boarding.
How do I order background checks and complete the I-9?
- Open the new hire's profile in Leapsome and order a screening package through the extension. Packages are customizable, combining pre-built options with add-ons to match your roles and industry.
- For the I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification), the required US form for every new hire, order the I-9 through VerifiedFirst. The new hire completes Section 1, an authorized reviewer completes Section 2, and E-Verify is handled through VerifiedFirst as well.
- Track the screening status while it runs. The average turnaround is about 33.7 hours, with a 94.5% verification success rate.
