Companies can add multiple compensation types as attributes to their employees' profiles. Adding the different compensation types can be tedious and manual work for admins. Therefore, utilizing the bulk import function can save admins time and effort.
In order to bulk assign additional compensation types to employee's profiles, you would first need to create the compensation type in Leapsome. To do so, follow the steps in the article Payroll: Compensation types.
To assign the compensation types in bulk to employee profiles, navigate to Company settings > Integrations and Imports > Excel imports > select 'other compensation components' from the drop-down menu.
Download the template provided, input the information into that template, and then upload the file.
The following fields are included in the template:
- Email *
- Effective date * (DD-MM-YYYY)
- Valid until (DD-MM-YYYY)
- Compensation component name *
- Type (fixed, variable)
- Recurrence (one Time, monthly, every 3 Months, every 6 Months, every 12 Months)
- Compensation component value (if fixed, in employee currency)
- Comment
All fields notated with an (*) are required in order for the import to upload to the employee's profiles.
If you would like to add the compensation types to the employees' profiles and not remove previous compensation components that were already present in the profile, enable the following settings: "Keep records for additional compensations that were added to the system before. New historical records will be added to the history. The most recent record of the specific compensation type will be displayed as the current value in the user profile." If this setting is disabled, all existing compensation components for the user affected by the import will be removed. The most recent value for each compensation type will be displayed as the current value. Any scheduled change for additional compensation fields will be removed in any case.
