Admins can export absences through the absence module.
To do so, navigate to the 'Absence' module > 'Calendar' > Click on three dots > 'Export absences' or 'Export absences balances' to get an export of the employee absence balance.
When you select 'Export absences', you can add up to 30 additional employee attributes.
How to export filtered absence balances
Apply filters before exporting
- Navigate to 'Absences' > 'Calendar'
- Apply the filters you want to use for your export:
- Users
- Teams
- Direct reports of
- Locations
- Tags
- Lifecycle status (e.g., filter for 'Active' to exclude inactive employees)
- Time period
- The filtered view will display only the absence balances matching your criteria
Export absence balances with selected attributes
- After applying your desired filters, click the three dots menu
- Select 'Export absence balances'
- In the export modal, you will see:
- Currently applied filters
- Option to select additional attributes
- Click 'Select attributes' to choose up to 30 additional employee attributes to include in your export
- Available attributes include:
- Department
- Manager
- Location
- Lifecycle status
- Contract type
- Employee start date
- Custom attributes
- And many more
- Click 'Export' to download your customized absence balance report
Default attributes in absence balance exports
Every absence balance export includes these default attributes:
- Employee name
- Employee ID
- Absence policy name
- Current balance
- Accrued balance
- Used balance
- Scheduled balance
- Remaining balance
Please note: Selected additional attributes appear as columns in your exported file alongside the default attributes.
