Access rights for the Surveys module, like all access rights within the platform, are managed through Leapsome's Feature Access Matrix, which gives admins a single place to control permissions across all modules.
To view and configure access rights for the Surveys module, navigate to: 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Feature access matrix'
📖 For a full overview of the Feature Access Matrix, visit: Centralized Access Management (Feature Access Matrix)
In Feature access matrix, you can:
- See which roles have access to each Surveys feature (creating surveys, viewing results, accessing analytics, etc.)
- Toggle individual features on or off per role
Additional managers and team leads visibility
Please note: Additional managers can see the survey results of their direct reports if they are shared with them via the survey visibility setting 'Results of direct / indirect reports'.
If enabled, cascading access doesn't apply to additional managers, i.e. the additional manager can see survey results of their (dotted line) direct reports (if shared with them) but not of their (dotted line) indirect reports.
The results of team leads will be included in the results of all teams they lead. Therefore, if a team lead leads both the sales team, and revenue operations teams, then their results will be included within the results of both teams.
Custom access roles
You can also create custom access roles with tailored Surveys permissions to meet your organization's specific needs. Custom roles allow you to grant specific users access to selected Surveys features without giving them full admin rights.
📖 For detailed instructions on creating and managing custom access roles, visit: User-Scoped Permissions (Access Roles)
To create and configure custom access roles:
- Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Access roles'
- Create a new custom role with specific feature combinations
- Define which Surveys features users with that role can access
- Assign the role to individual users or in bulk
