Leapsome can automatically transcribe your meetings and turn them into structured, actionable content, including an AI summary, action items, and talking points, saved directly to your meeting in Leapsome.
There are three ways to get a transcript into Leapsome depending on how you run your meetings:
Desktop app (Mac)
The desktop app captures your system audio and transcribes any meeting run through a desktop conferencing application.
- Download the app from 'Personal Settings' > 'Meeting transcription' > 'Download desktop app'
- Log in with your Leapsome credentials or via SSO
- Grant microphone and system audio permissions when prompted
- At the start of your meeting, click 'Start transcription' and confirm participant consent
- Click 'Stop transcription' when the meeting ends, Leapsome processes the audio and saves the transcript automatically

In-browser transcription
The in-browser transcription captures audio directly from your browser, no installation needed.
- Open your meeting in Leapsome and navigate to the agenda tab
- When your meeting is about to start, click 'Start transcription'
- Grant microphone access and select the browser tab to share audio from
- Confirm participant consent to begin
- Click 'Stop transcription' when the meeting ends
Adding a transcript manually
If you already have a transcript from another tool, you can paste it directly into Leapsome and let the AI process it.
- Open the relevant meeting in Leapsome
- Navigate to the 'Transcript' tab
- Click 'Add transcript' and paste or type your transcript content
- Save - Leapsome automatically processes the transcript and generates the AI output

What Leapsome generates from your transcript
Regardless of the method used, Leapsome generates the following from every transcript:
- Summary: a concise overview of the main discussion points and outcomes
- Action items: tasks identified from the conversation, with clear ownership
- Talking points: suggested topics for follow-up meetings, assigned to relevant agenda sections
- Meeting insights: objective feedback on participation, agenda adherence, and outcomes
