How do I set up my career portal in Leapsome?
Go to 'Settings' > 'Recruiting' > 'Career portal'. Add a privacy policy URL, turn on 'Career Portal link' to go live, set your branding, and click 'Update settings'. To show your jobs on your own website, turn on 'Allow embedding' under 'Embed on website' and copy the 'Embed code'.
The career portal is your public jobs page. It lists your published and listed postings, and each job page includes its application form. Branding makes the portal match your company identity, and shared text blocks keep candidate-facing content consistent across all postings.

When should I update my career portal?
- Before you publish your first posting
- When your brand, privacy policy, or application policy changes
- When you want to show your job list on your company website
How to set up your career portal
- Go to 'Settings' > 'Recruiting' > 'Career portal'. Leapsome creates the portal the first time you open the page. It stays inactive until you turn it on.
- Open the 'Privacy policy' section and enter your policy URL. You need it to go live.
- Turn on 'Career Portal link'. The portal goes live right away. Use the icons next to the URL to open or copy it.
- Under 'Branding & Appearance', choose the 'Logo variant' and add your 'Company website URL'. Under 'Colors & Typography', set the 'Accent color', 'Interactive color', 'Link color', 'Header font', and 'Body font'. The 'Appearance preview' updates as you make changes.
- Under 'Job board options', choose 'Show job filters?' to add filters for department, location, and employment type above the job list, and 'Group by departments?' to group jobs under department headings. These settings only affect your career portal.
- Under 'Messaging', set the message candidates see after applying. Use 'Shared opening text' and 'Shared closing text' for text that appears on every job page, and 'Default compensation philosophy' as the starting text for new jobs and postings.
- If needed, adjust 'Repeat applications', 'Embed on website', and 'AI crawlers'. You'll find details below.
- Click 'Preview' to check your unsaved changes, then click 'Update settings'.
Note: Your logo is managed in 'Company > Basic settings not here. The privacy policy URL is required for as long as the portal is active, and it also appears on your application forms.
A few things to keep in mind about how the portal looks to candidates:
- Pages show in your company's language setting, not in the visitor's browser language.
- Link previews in chat and social apps show "Job title at Company" with a shared Leapsome image, not your logo.
- Pinned postings appear first in the job list.
- If the portal is inactive, published and listed postings show a 'Career page disabled' warning in the postings list.
How do repeat applications work?
'Limit repeat applications' is turned on by default. It stops candidates from applying to the same posting again while their previous application is still active. Once the previous application ends, they need to wait for the 'Cooldown period (days)' before they can apply again. The default is 90 days.
How do I embed the career portal on my website?
- Under 'Embed on website', turn on 'Allow embedding'.
- Optional: under 'Allowed domains', add the full address of each website that may embed the portal, including https://, e.g., https://www.example.com. You can use https://*.example.com to allow every subdomain, and add up to 10 entries. If you leave this empty, any website can embed the portal.
- Copy the 'Embed code' and paste it into your website.
Embedded pages hide the portal's header and footer. Applications submitted through the embedded portal stay on Leapsome's domain.
Can I control which AI crawlers read my job pages?
Yes. Under 'AI crawlers' > 'AI crawler access', choose which AI bots may read your public job pages:
- 'Allow AI search and training'
- 'Allow AI search, block training'
- 'Block AI crawlers (except Google Search)'
Who can manage the career portal?
- To open the page and change its settings, you need the 'Manage career page settings' permission. You can see the details in 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Feature access matrix'.
- When the portal is active, anyone with the link can see it and apply. When it's inactive, candidates see "Career page not found".
- Draft postings and postings from confidential jobs never appear on the portal.
