Overview of Analytics Access
The analytics tab is available for all Admins by default. As an Admin, you have full access to learning analytics for all users in your organization. You can also grant access to different user / access types via Settings > Employees > Feature access matrix > Learning.
User Analytics View
The User Analytics View provides a holistic overview of individual learner progress across all learning paths.
What You Can See
On the user level, you can view:
- A list of all users and the number of learning paths they are enrolled in
- How many learning paths are in progress per user
- How many learning paths are completed per user
- The overall average progress across all learning paths per user
- Enrollment date for each learning path
- Completion date for each learning path
- Average progress in individual learning paths
Diving Deeper into Individual User Progress
By selecting an individual user, you can:
- See their progress in each specific learning path
- Check which precise step a learner is working on
- View which step is coming up next in their learning journey
This granular view allows you to identify users who may need additional support or follow-up to complete their learning paths.
Filtering Options
The filter function on each view can be used to analyze:
- Progress of specific teams, by locations, or by custom attribute
- Users whose start date falls within a specific quarter or timeframe
- Users with a learning path enrollment date within a specific quarter or timeframe
- Users with a completion date within a specific quarter or timeframe
- Progress of the learning path as a percentage (i.e., 25-50% completed, or 50-75% completed) or paths that have not yet been started
- Paths with specified learning tags
Any teams / groups / custom attributes you create for your organization will immediately be available to use as a filter under analytics.
Exporting User Data
User data can be exported to Excel using the 'Export to Excel' button. The export includes the enrollment date, which helps you identify newly enrolled users in the learning path and provides a more comprehensive understanding of learning progress.
Please note: If filters are applied to the analytics view before exporting, the export will only include users who satisfy the applied filters.
Learning Path Analytics View
The Learning Path Analytics View allows you to gather comprehensive insights into how the Learning module is being used across your organization. To access this view, navigate to 'Analytics' > 'Learning' and switch to the Learning Path view.
What You Can See
The dashboard displays the following insights:
- All active learning paths in your organization
- The total enrollments in the learning paths (the number includes not just unique users, but also multiple enrollments of the same user in different courses)
- The number of participants who completed the learning path
- The average progress of participants enrolled in the learning path
Using the Data
This view helps you identify:
- Which paths have the highest participant uptake
- Which courses have high completion rates
- Which paths have the highest number of users enrolled
Selecting an individual path from the list will take you to the individual learning path dashboard for that path, where you can see more detailed participation and progress indicators.
Exporting Learning Path Data
The data can be exported using the 'Export to Excel' button. When exporting this data, you will observe that the number of users is lower than users enrolled as each individual is only counted once.
