What can hiring managers do in Leapsome Recruiting?
As a hiring manager, you work in 'Recruiting' on the jobs where you're part of the hiring team as Hiring Manager. By default, you can view and edit those jobs, review and move their candidates, schedule interviews, create openings, and write notes.
You only see offers if an admin turns on offer permissions for your role, or if you're asked to approve an offer. To learn more, see Requesting openings and approving offers as a hiring manager.

What will I be asked to do as a hiring manager?
- Review and move candidates on your jobs
- Prepare for and run interviews with the interview guide, then submit your feedback with a recommendation
- Request new openings for your jobs
- Approve openings or offers if an approval flow names you as an approver
You receive hiring tasks as notifications and to-dos, e.g., upcoming interviews, feedback to submit, @mentions in candidate notes, and changes to candidate bookings.
How do I find my open roles?
Click 'Recruiting' in the main navigation. You only see 'Candidates', 'Interviews', 'Offers', and 'Jobs' if you have access to them. With the default Hiring Manager role, Recruiting opens on 'Candidates'.
- 'Candidates' shows each of your published jobs with its openings, recruiters, and hiring managers. Candidates are grouped into 'Leads', 'Application review', 'Active', 'Pending offer', 'Hired', and 'Archived'. You can switch between the 'Pipeline' and 'List' views.
- 'Jobs' lists your jobs with their status, and has the tabs 'Openings', 'Jobs', and 'Postings'.
Open a job to see its dashboard. The header shows the team, location, evaluation process, and hiring team. Below, you'll find the tabs 'Candidates', 'Openings', 'Postings', 'Analytics', and 'Evaluation process'.
To change a job, click 'Edit' on the job dashboard. This includes the 'Hiring team' tab.
Note: By default, hiring managers can't create new jobs or publish job postings. You also don't see jobs where you're not part of the hiring team.
What can hiring managers see and do by default?
- The default Hiring Manager permissions apply to each job you're assigned to: you can view and manage the job, create openings, view and manage candidates, and access confidential jobs and openings you're assigned to.
- Being the Hiring Manager on one job doesn't give you access to any other job.
- You only see a confidential job and its candidates if you're part of its hiring team.
- Admins can give the Hiring Manager role more permissions in 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Feature access matrix', e.g., 'View offers of assigned jobs', 'Manage offers for assigned jobs', 'Create job postings for assigned jobs', or 'Send email on behalf of another account'.
