How do I review candidates as a hiring manager?
Open a candidate from the pipeline, the list, or your job's 'Candidates' tab. There, you can see their resume, activity, notes, application, interviews, feedback, and documents. By default, you can move candidates between stages, mark them as hired, and archive or restore their applications.
As a hiring manager, you see all interview feedback on your jobs, regardless of the feedback form's visibility setting. This way, you have the full picture before you decide on next steps.

What can I do with candidates in my pipeline?
- Move candidates between stages
- Mark a candidate as hired
- Archive an application with a reason, and restore it later
- Use the bulk actions 'Change stage' and 'Send email' for several candidates at once
To email candidates, connect your own mailbox first. To send emails from someone else's mailbox, you need the 'Send email on behalf of another account' permission.
Note: If a stage requires feedback that's still missing, you need to confirm before you move the candidate on. Moving candidates to a rejected or archived stage can also send automated emails to candidates, depending on how your Recruiting team set up the process. To learn more, see Moving, archiving and restoring candidates.
How do I give input on a candidate?
- Notes: Anyone who can open a candidate can write notes on the candidate or on an application. Turn on 'Private note' to keep a note to yourself.
- @mentions: Mention colleagues in a note to notify them. Only people with access to that candidate receive the mention.
- Feedback requests: With manage access, use 'Request feedback' to ask a colleague for structured feedback, with or without an interview. You can choose what context to share with them.
If you only have view access to a candidate, you can read the profile, write notes, and see feedback within the form's visibility rules. You can't move, archive, email, or schedule interviews for that candidate.
How do I schedule and run interviews?
You can schedule, reschedule, and cancel interviews from a candidate's application on your jobs. The active hiring team is preselected as interviewers.
- If your company has connected a calendar for Recruiting, you can find a time based on the interviewers' availability, set the time manually, or ask the candidate for their availability. Without a connected calendar, you set the time manually.
- If you cancel an interview, it's canceled for all interviewers on the panel. Feedback that was already submitted is kept.
- Interviews you're assigned to appear in 'Recruiting' > 'Interviews'. Open the interview guide to prepare and submit your feedback.
- To set your recurring interview hours, click your name at the top right, go to 'Personal Settings', and open 'Interview availability'. By default, your availability is 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays.
Note: The calendar integration for Recruiting is separate from the one used for absences and meetings. Your Recruiting admins manage interview setups for each stage and the default interviewer panels.
