When creating a learning path, you can target whether the path will be a one-time occurrence or recurring at a specified frequency. All other steps in setting up a learning path can be found in Creating Learning Paths.
Frequency
The preset frequencies for re-enrolment can be one of the following:
- every month (4 weeks)
- every 2 months (8 weeks)
- every 3 months (12 weeks)
- every 4 months (16 weeks)
- every 6 months (24 weeks)
- every year
- every 2 years
The user only gets re-enrolled after the defined frequency if the path was completed by the participant before. The path will automatically check every few hours if new users need to be added or re-enrolled into the path based on their participation.
Activation date
The activation date is used to define the kick off of the path initially. This date cannot be modified once the path is activated.
Adding new users to the path
As a default, all existing users will be automatically added on the activation date based on the specified filters. For new hires, you can define whether they are added immediately based on the activation date or if they should be added dynamically based on their hire date (before, or after). The user start date needs to be defined in the user profile for the participant to be dynamically added to the learning path.
When users will be added to a Learning Path in the near future, you will also see their names appear under the 'Users who will be added automatically soon' section, within the Learning Path dashboard. Users will be removed from this list the day of being added, and there may be a time delay between them getting removed from the soon-to-be-added list, and added to the actual participation list.
Please note: The user will always be enrolled in the latest version of the path when they were enrolled, not when they begin working on the path. This means that if the user is enrolled, and then an update to the path is launched later, the user will only be provided the path they were originally enrolled in. Any future users added to the path will see any updates made to the path before they are enrolled.
