If you already have a transcript from an external tool or want to manually document a meeting, you can paste it directly into Leapsome. The AI automatically processes the content and generates a structured summary, action items, talking points, and more, saved directly to the meeting.

Enabling AI transcript processing for your organization
Before users can add and process transcripts, the feature must be enabled in the Feature Access Matrix.
- Go to 'Settings' > 'Employees' > 'Feature Access Matrix' > 'AI Features'
- Enable 'Meetings - (beta) transcription' for the relevant roles
- Save your changes
Once enabled, any meeting participant with the relevant role can add and edit transcripts.
When to use AI transcript processing
Use this method when:
- You already have a transcript from another tool (e.g., an external recorder or transcription service)
- You want to manually document a meeting that was not recorded in Leapsome
- You prefer to type or paste notes directly and have the AI structure them for you
For live audio recording directly in Leapsome, use the desktop app or in-browser transcription instead.
How to use AI transcript processing
Adding a transcript
- Navigate to the relevant meeting in Leapsome
- Open the 'Transcript' tab
- If no transcript exists, click 'Add transcript'
- Paste or type your transcript content
- Save - the AI begins processing automatically
While processing is active, a loading state is shown. Once complete, all generated content appears in an organized, editable format.
Reviewing AI-generated content
After processing, Leapsome generates the following:
- Summary: a concise overview of the meeting's main points and outcomes
- Themed notes: organized notes grouped by topics and themes detected in the discussion
- Talking points: suggested topics for follow-up meetings, automatically assigned to relevant agenda sections
- Action items: tasks identified from the discussion with clear ownership
- Open questions: unresolved questions that came up but were not addressed
You can edit, accept, or dismiss any suggestion. The full transcript is hidden by default and can be accessed in edit mode.
Please note: When you accept any AI-generated item, you automatically become the owner. You can reassign ownership at any time.
Reprocessing a transcript
If you modify the transcript after the initial processing, a 'Process transcript' button appears. Click it to regenerate the AI content based on the updated text.
Please note: Reprocessing will overwrite any AI-generated suggestions you have not yet accepted.
Integration with meeting agendas
AI-generated content is integrated directly into your meeting workflow:
- Talking points appear in their assigned sections in the agenda tab, clearly marked as AI-generated with edit, accept, and dismiss options
- Action items appear in the dedicated action items section of the agenda, distinguishable from user-created content
- Meeting summaries appear below the meeting description in the agenda tab
- All accepted AI-generated content is marked with a small badge indicating its AI origin — clicking the badge links back to the transcript tab for full context
