Writing comprehensive meeting notes can be time-consuming and important details often get missed. The AI-powered meeting transcript feature addresses this by processing your meeting transcripts to automatically extract key information and create structured, actionable content.
How AI transcript processing works
When you add a transcript to any meeting in Leapsome, our AI automatically processes the content to create:
Brief summary: A concise overview of the meeting's main points and outcomes
Themed notes: Organized notes grouped by topics and themes detected in the discussion
Suggested talking points: Next steps and topics recommended for future meetings, automatically assigned to relevant agenda sections
Action items: Todo items identified from the meeting discussion with clear ownership
Open questions: Unresolved questions that came up but weren't addressed, separate from action items
The AI uses additional meeting context like title, description, and participant information to improve processing accuracy and filters out duplicate suggestions that match existing talking points.
Using AI transcript processing
To use AI transcript processing in your meetings:
Navigate to any meeting in your Leapsome Meetings module and look for the transcript tab. If no transcript exists, you'll see an intro screen explaining how to add one.
Add your transcript by copying and pasting the meeting content or typing it directly. The AI processing begins automatically once you save the transcript.
While processing is active, you'll see a loading state. Once complete, all generated content appears in an organized, editable format.
Review the AI-generated summary, notes, talking points, and action items. You can edit, accept, or reject any suggestions. The full transcript is hidden by default but can be accessed in edit mode.
If you modify the transcript after processing, a 'Process transcript' button appears, allowing you to regenerate the AI content. Note that reprocessing will overwrite any manual changes to suggestions you haven't yet accepted.
Integration with meeting agendas
AI-generated content integrates seamlessly with your existing meeting workflow:
Suggested talking points appear in their assigned sections within the agenda tab, clearly marked as AI-generated with the same edit, accept, and reject options
Action items show up in the dedicated action items section of your agenda, also clearly distinguished from user-created content
When you accept any AI-generated item, you automatically become the owner, though you can reassign ownership as needed
Meeting summaries appear below your meeting description in the regular agenda tab, and if no transcript has been added, you'll see a helpful hint about this feature
All accepted AI-generated content is marked with a small badge indicating its AI-supported origin, and clicking this badge links back to the transcript tab for full context.
Availability
The AI transcript processing feature can be enabled through the feature access matrix. Once enabled, any meeting participant can add and edit transcripts, making this a collaborative tool for better meeting documentation and follow-up.
